Research on Top IT Companies and SaaS Startups in Coimbatore, India
I have been guiding a few freshers the past few months to find jobs in Coimbatore. Honestly, there’s no comprehensive data on these companies for a job seeker to quickly reach out and seek an opportunity. So, I wanted to make a list of top IT companies and SaaS startups in Coimbatore.
1.KGiSL
This is one of the best organizations in Coimbatore if you are looking for a career in IT. The whole information technology community in Coimbatore should be thankful to its Founder & Managing Director, Dr.Ashok Bakthavathsalam, for his contribution in building one of the leading SEZs in the Coimbatore region. He also choose to build one of the first international BPO services from the KGiSL campus in Coimbatore. Note that the Tidel Park in Coimbatore was established only after the CHIL IT Park in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore.
KGiSL operates as KGiSL BSS, its business process outsourcing division, and KGiSL GSS, its IT division. I would have told the KGiSL founding and growth story hundreds of times as I was doing induction as a part of their corporate communications team. I recently read that they had acquired AETINS Sdn. Bhd, an insurance software organization based in Malaysia. Today, KGiSL GSS has presence in Thailand, Singapore, United States and Australia.
I remember doing a few promo videos for them. Below is the one I did to promote their RPA Consulting Services. I am not sure if they ever focus on video marketing after I left the company. At least not the way I enjoyed doing it.
KGiSL was featured in the Worldbank’s “Competitive Cities for Jobs and Growth” report in 2016. They had mentioned that KGiSL contributed to the city what, in other nations, a local government would have been responsible for. This is true as KGiSL played a key role in bringing the following brands to Coimbatore: Cognizant, Robert Bosch, Amazon India, and a few others.
KGiSL’s contribution has directly helped more than 20,000 IT professionals to call Coimbatore their home. This makes me believe Dr.Ashok Bakthavathsalam certainly played a key role in laying the founding stone for the IT infrastructure in Coimbatore.

Cognizant was one of the first major IT organizations to establish a presence in a tier-2 city like Coimbatore. They also had a presence in 2-3 locations during their early years until they moved all their employees to the CHILL IT park in Coimbatore.
I shall include more information about Cognizant’s operations in Coimbatore when I could gather some data.

Draup – Real Insights from Artificial Intelligence
Draup is a global CXO decision-making platform in the sales and talent fields for global CXO leaders. To assist enterprises in making data-driven strategic decisions, the platform integrates machine learning with human curation.
I found out that Draup exists in Coimbatore only after the founder’s interview was published on YourStory. They offer both IT services and this product to accelerate their company. So, they are sure to grow massively in the years to come.

RFPIO is the market leader in response management software, used by some of the world’s most innovative organizations to support RFP and Security questionnaire responses, build and manage sales proposals, and eliminate inefficiencies caused by dispersed and inaccessible content and expertise.

RFPIO has a presence in multiple locations. HQ is in Beaverton, Oregon, and the development centre is situated in Coimbatore, India. This is a VC-backed SaaS company where the founders operate from the US. So, I believe this certainly is a good place to work.

Disclaimer: I tried working at RFPIO after a conversation with their CEO on LinkedIn. If I recall the interview with their digital marketing manager, they want someone who works in corporate branding to be familiar with animation. That’s not me.
Having said that, I believe the founders want to turn this into a multi-product company and establish an umbrella brand in the near future. I’m hoping to reach out to them again if they do that.
Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions is at the forefront of designing, developing, and executing IoT ecosystems with end-to-end solutions that connect Sensors, Software, and Services, with a global footprint and presence in the United States, Europe, Japan, China, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific region.
I assume Bosch Coimbatore should have more than 500 to 1000 employees in Coimbatore. Not sure about the exact numbers though. They are situated in Tidel Park and CHIL IT Park in Coimbatore.
Wipro Limited is a significant worldwide information technology, consulting, and business process services firm. We have over 160,000 dedicated workers serving clients across six continents and are known globally for our extensive offering of services, strong commitment to sustainability, and good corporate citizenship.

At HCL, innovation is not just another word, it’s part of our organizational heritage and DNA – a journey that began in 1976 and continues to power us ahead even today.
HCL in Coimbatore, I believe, is recognized as State Street HCL and has a distinct campus in Tidel Park,Coimbatore. I don’t have much information about HCL Coimbatore.
I believe Infosys acquired Skava through which they had their initial presence in Coimbatore. Infosys in Coimbatore are hiring rapidly and I hope they expand their presence.
9. Verticurl Coimbatore
Verticurl, an Ogilvy subsidiary, was founded in 2006 with the goal of becoming the world’s leading marketing technology services firm for multinational corporations.
There are several companies in the India Land SEZ in Keeranatham near Saravanampatti, Coimbatore but only a very few are worth mentioning. I have chosen Verticurl as the experience working in an enterprise MarTech service provider will be great for your career growth.

11.Wavicle Data Solutions
Wavicle has presence in Coimbatore as a BPO service provider. But that’s just a part of their business. They also provide enterprise IT consulting services. They were hiring Data scientists and that’s when I realized they offer IT consulting services too.
